Gordie James
Willamette University Head Men's Basketball Coach

The highly respected Willamette University mentor has developed All-Americans and All-Staters at every position. Coach James, the 2002 Nortwest Conference Coach of the Year, has instructed and guided over 17,000 participants in the Camp's 26 years. He led the 1993 Bearcats to a National Championship and was named National Coach of the Year. Described as an energetic teacher and master motivator, Gordie has worked and directed camps for over 35 years. His experience and organization are most evident in the camps he directs.

"We take a very fundamental approach to our camp and its application to life. In addition to the essentials of the game, we teach dedication, responsibility, and conscientiousness. Above all else, we hve fun with basketball and work very hard at improving every camper's play and attitude."

Camp Staff

Our expiienced staff, comprised of college coaches, high school and middle school teachers and coaches is extraordinary! This is a teaching camp and we pride ourselves on having phenomenal fundamental instruction. Our staff is Supplemented with high quarlity college student athletes who are exceptionally resopnsible and conscientious and are positive role models for campers of all ages. Our staff really cares about the welfare of every camper and works very hard at making this a special week of hoop.
